I went to a life drawing class the other day, taught by the talented Dan Whiteson.

I forgot how incredibly difficult it is and was reminded of the importance of looking and seeing - something as a photographer I should probably do more of.

The Photocopy Club – London Show

On a bitterly cold Thursday evening a few weeks ago, I squeezed into a packed Beach London for The Photocopy Club‘s first show in the capital. I’d submitted some work a while ago and didn’t know if it would feature or not, so it was nice to see a small print from Heart-Shaped Box up on the wall.

Big thanks to the Photocopy Club team for all their work in setting up and running the whole thing – which, by the sounds of it, is turning into quite a large operation. They’re currently taking submissions for the next Brighton show for all those who are interested.

The excellent Toby Smith has selected the ‘McDonalds’ image from Elsewhere to be part of the 5th annual Printspace show - Sample 12.

In previous years, (see 2010 & 2011) the Sample shows have featured the likes of the Laura Pannack, Matt Stuart, Peter Caton, Dougie Wallace and Rupert Nightingale, as well many more highly talented photographers.

The Private View is on Thursday 2nd Feb and admission is free, with drinks provided. The exhibition then continues from the 3rd – 28th February, Monday – Friday 9am-7pm.
